In this episode, we will be sitting in on a class called "Getting Over Jesus Offending Your Culture", taught by Maria McWhorter. This class discusses areas in the gospels where what Jesus said or did offended the people around Him, and how there was a real life-changing purpose to what He said and did. The Pharisees often got offended by Jesus as He held them to a high standard in their position as spiritual leaders at the chance that they would correct their course. What is your response when Jesus offends your culture? Are you able to course correct to align with His will, or do you try to invalidate what He is saying?

Welcome to another episode of Refuse Ordinary: Season 3! This season we're joining in on one of the many classes taught to level 1-4 of the full time School of Transformation.

 

In this episode, we will be sitting in on a class called "Who And What Are You Led By", taught by Nathan Taylor. This class discusses The only way to know what God wants is to read the Bible and get to know Him through His words. Jesus' words are confronting and uncomfortable and the enemy wants to use that to pull us away from our relationship with Jesus. But when we choose to follow Jesus over our circumstances, we trust that He is who He says He is and we align ourselves with Him. Who are you following? Do you run from the confronting words of Jesus or do you embrace them and change?

In this episode, we will be sitting in on a class called "How We Learn", taught by Ryan Kelly. This class is all about the importance of asking questions, and how to ask questions that will help you grow and learn. It discusses ways that Jesus used questions in His teachings, as well as how the disciples used questions to learn from Him. We need to look at what keeps us from asking questions in order to move forward in growth and maturity.

Welcome to another episode of Refuse Ordinary: Season 3! This season we're joining in on one of the many classes taught to level 1-4 of the full time School of Transformation. 

 

In this episode, we will be sitting in on a class called "Trusting God With Our Future", taught by Lisa Bowers. In determining what God wants us to do with our lives, it can be easy to hear through our own filters and desires. For this reason, it is important to let people in on the journey and find healing for the dysfunctional area of our hearts that could steer us in a direction that isn't good for us. The goal is to look more and more like Jesus and to be consumed by Him to the point that He becomes the vision for our life and the most important thing in our lives.

Refuse Ordinary S3E34: The Acts Church: How They Loved

Welcome to another episode of Refuse Ordinary: Season 3! This season we're joining in on one of the many classes taught to level 1-4 of the full time School of Transformation. 

 

In this episode, we will be sitting in on a class called "The Acts Church: How They Loved", taught by Stefanie Mumby. All those who had believed in the Acts church were together in the sense that their lives became one. There was no "yours and mine", or "you and me" anymore—there was only "us and me". The Acts Church continued with one mind, rushing along in unison with one passion.This was and is made possible because of the Holy Spirit. We are called to live like this, together with one mind, all the time.

This class is about how the prophetic should always bring hope, and inspire and motivate people to draw closer to God and pursue His plans for them. It requires us to stay connected to Jesus because it is revealing His heart for the person in front of you.

Welcome to another episode of Refuse Ordinary: Season 3! This season we are joining in on one of the many classes taught to level 1-4 of the full time School of Transformation.

 

In this episode we will be sitting in on a class called “Spiritual Growth is Built on Discipline” taught by Nathan Taylor. A foundation of discipline begins with denying ourselves and joining our lives with Jesus. This journey challenges how we think and act, and though discipline may feel unpleasant at first, it ultimately leads to the blessing of righteousness. It’s choosing a life fully joined with Jesus even when trials come our way.

Refuse Ordinary S3E37: Grace and Honor

Welcome to another episode of Refuse Ordinary: Season 3! This season we are joining in on one of the many classes taught to level 1-4 of the full time School of Transformation.

 

In this episode we will be sitting in on a class called “Grace and Honor” taught by Lisa Bowers. Grace and honor is one of the ways that God displayed His love for us. Our perception of grace is tainted by the world’s system that says we need to earn everything. But there is nothing we can do to earn grace because it is an unmerited favor of God towards man. We don’t deserve what Jesus gives us, and in response we get to live with Him and for Him.

This class brings powerful insight into how we can successfully walk through the tough circumstances that we encounter. "But God" is a phrase that changes things. We need Him to be our source of comfort and the one who does the work in us to make us fruitful, but we must respond to Him.
