In Episode 4 of Refuse Ordinary, Michelle Carr talks about the goals she had that were motivated by wealth and success, leaving her feeling unfulfilled, and how the Lord challenged her to trust Him and pursue His visions for her life. Her story involves surrender and learning to believe that Jesus has her best interest in mind.

Maria McWhorter joins Michelle on this episode, sharing her own experience with following God's will, which involved seeing the need in front of her and figuring out what she had to give, resulting in a journey she would not have expected.

A Purpose With Passion

In Episode 5 of Refuse Ordinary, Galen Reimer discusses the leap of faith he took in coming to the School of Transformation—leaving a successful career after struggling internally, and finding a new purpose in his giftings. He describes how there's been a shift from using his gifts for himself, to actually finding a passion to teach others what he knows.

Galen is joined by Lisa Kelly, who talks about the character refinement that has had to take place in her life as she learned to use her giftings to truly bless those around her.

It's a discussion of passion, joy, and fulfillment in using your giftings alongside the One who has given them.

Refuse Ordinary S3E1: Friendship With God

Lisa Kelly discusses discerning the false religion in our lives or just knowing the "right answers", and finding out who God really is and what it's like to have a genuine, from the heart, relationship with Him.

Refuse Ordinary S3E2: The New Covenant Standard

Welcome to another episode of Refuse Ordinary: Season 3! This season, instead of our regular interview style episodes, we're joining in on one of the many classes taught to level 1-4 of the full time School of Transformation. 

 

In this episode, we will be sitting in on a class called "New Covenant Standard", taught by Lisa Bowers. What is the standard Jesus came to show and teach us in the New Testament? More than a list of rules, the standard calls us deeper with Jesus in a relationship that stands through trials and points people to Jesus. It's a standard that causes us to work through false lenses and beliefs so that we can be connected with our Good Father for eternity. It's a standard that, if followed, shows Jesus to the world just by meeting us. Let's run after that standard—that beautiful, transforming, fulfilling standard that Jesus has set for us!

Welcome to another episode of Refuse Ordinary: Season 3! This season, instead of our regular interview style episodes, we're joining in on one of the many classes taught to level 1-4 of the full time School of Transformation. 

 

In this episode, we will be sitting in on a class called "Jesus' Teaching On Heaven And Hell", taught by Nathan Taylor. This class tackles some really heavy questions such as, "How could a loving God send people to hell", and discusses beliefs that people have today about hell. Nathan Taylor brings up the reason for heaven and hell, and the passion God had in sending His Son to the cross so that none should perish. Because of the misconceptions of heaven and hell, people form beliefs about God, but as we look to really find Him, we will see His trustworthy, just, and loving character.

This lesson challenges us to look at what we are investing in—present comforts or treasures in Heaven? When leading others, are we seeking to be liked and understood, or are we seeking to help them do whatever Jesus has called them to do? We have a challenge to fight against the urge to have quick and comfortable results in order to lead people to the One who can ultimately save them. Are you up for that challenge?

Refuse Ordinary S3E5: The Death Process

Welcome to another episode of Refuse Ordinary: Season 3! This season we're joining in on one of the many classes taught to level 1-4 of the full time School of Transformation. 

 

In this episode, we will be sitting in on a class called "The Death Process", taught by Chloe Wellsand. This lesson looks at what it's like to let go of your life, your comforts, and your dreams, and lay them at the feet of Jesus. Though life may have taught us that it's safer to look out for ourselves, we have an opportunity to trust our Good Father to provide for us. And as we lay our lives down before Jesus, He is able to help us grow and flourish in the plan He has for us. Will you let go of your old life and let Jesus be the Lord of your life?

Refuse Ordinary S3E6: Jesus’ Teaching On Authority

Welcome to another episode of Refuse Ordinary: Season 3! This season we're joining in on one of the many classes taught to level 1-4 of the full time School of Transformation. 

 

In this episode, we will be sitting in on a class called "Jesus' Teaching On Authority", taught by Nathan Taylor. In this lesson, Nathan discusses the authority Jesus walked in on earth, and looks at the source from which Jesus received that authority. Jesus put Himself under the authority of His Father and did just what He saw His Father doing. We also get a chance to walk in the authority that He gives, not for the purpose of exalting ourselves, but for the purpose of revealing His Kingdom. In this episode, we will be sitting in on a class called "Intend Not To Sin", taught by Maria McWhorter. This class discusses what Jesus meant when He said "Go and sin no more"  in the gospel of John. This phrase, and the intention to aim at obedience means we must know the standard that He has. We know He is serious about sin, since He sent His Son to die for our sin, so it is important to know what He expects and requires.

This class talks about the importance and meaning of enduring to the end, and how that affects your salvation. Ryan discusses how enduring in Christianity means to be planted and grounded in the truth and in Jesus. Though difficulties in life will come, will you be able to stand firm through them, knowing that there is a reward for those who endure?
